Kuroanime is an anime catalogue and a thin player around streams provided by third-party services. We do not upload, encode, store, transcode, or rebroadcast any video files. All episode streams are embedded from public third-party providers, and all metadata is pulled live from AniList and MyAnimeList APIs.
How to file a notice
Send an email to [email protected] that includes all of the following:
- Your full legal name and contact email.
- The role you are acting in (rights-holder, authorised agent, etc.) and the name of the rights-holder.
- A description of the copyrighted work allegedly infringed (title, AniList or MAL ID if you know it).
- The exact Kuroanime URL(s) you want delisted (one per line).
- The statement: "I have a good-faith belief that the use described above is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law."
- The statement: "The information in this notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, I am authorised to act on behalf of the owner of the exclusive right that is allegedly infringed."
- Your physical or electronic signature.
What we do on receipt
- We log the notice and assign it an ID for traceability.
- We delist the identified title(s) from the catalogue, typically within 48 hours.
- We forward the notice to upstream providers when possible.
- We notify the registered user who curated the affected entry, if any, by email.
Counter-notice
If you believe content was delisted in error, you may send a counter-notice to the same address. It must include the same identifying information as a notice plus a statement under penalty of perjury that the material was delisted as a result of mistake or misidentification. We restore the content if no court order is received within 10 business days.
Repeat infringers
Accounts that repeatedly submit infringing content (e.g. through community comments or curated rows) will be suspended after a third substantiated notice.
No abuse
Section 512(f) of the DMCA holds parties liable for damages (including attorneys' fees) if they knowingly materially misrepresent that content is infringing. We will refer abusive notices to counsel.
